Apparently it's "No mow May"....there's certainly lots of dandelions around. We've made our dandelion biscuits and now we're onto fun with the dandelion clocks. We've always accurately (ish) established the time of day with how many puffs it takes to clear the dandelion of its seeds. Did you also know they're hydrophobic? So another easy dandelion pastime is just to enjoy dunking them in some water, it's like magic! Any other good science-y nature tricks we can try?

How about pale-coloured flowers in some water with food colouring to look at how they take it up?
