My mum and my auntie have happy memories of making sand boats with my grandad. It's now a continuing legacy of family boat building. Sometimes a one-man rowing boat; sometimes a Monaco style super yacht; always with a spade handle as the throttle-lever-thingy (as you can tell, we really don't own an actual boat).
